New year, new challenges. Today I’m starting a challenge that will help me share images from my bulging travel photo files.
I’ve been watching other blogs I follow take part in this challenge over the past year, and have decided to give it a go myself. Each week blogger Ailsa, from Where’s My Backpack? sets a theme and invites her followers to find an image that fits the theme.
For this week’s Sparkle theme, I’ve chosen this image of a belly-dancing class at Camp Creative, an annual creative arts summer school held in Bellingen, New South Wales. It seems appropriate, as I’m heading there next week for my fifth year of teaching at Camp Creative (this year I’m running a blogging workshop). There are lots of other interesting courses being run, and I love to find time to photograph what others are doing (usually at lunchtime performances).
Thanks Ailsa! I look forward to seeing what challenges you come up with this year, and finding the images to fit it. I’m hoping it will make me think hard about where I’ve been and what I’ve seen, outside the immediate travel I’m doing.
